Background
Joe DeNoyior is the President of HUB Retirement and Wealth Management, where he leads HUB’s mission to offer comprehensive client services at the retirement plan sponsor, participant and individual levels. Since 1990, he has maintained a commitment to building an organization centered on client needs that seeks to provide unsurpassed service and independent advice for professionals, entrepreneurs, businesses and their employees.
Prior to joining HUB in 2019, Joe spent his entire career as the CEO of Washington Financial Group. He is the Past President of the American Retirement Association as well as the Past President of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA). Joe was proud to be named a 2024 PLANADVISER Top Retirement Plan Adviser, and a member of the team which was named a 2024 NAPA Top DC Advisor Team.
Joe is a strong advocate of financial education for himself and his clients. He is a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist® (CRPS®)*, Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and a Certified 401(k) Professional™ (C(k)P™). He is also a Founding Lecturer at The Retirement Advisor University (TRAU) in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education, where he educates qualified retirement plan advisors enrolled in the two-year C(k)P™ certification program.
Fun Fact: Joe has been on a lifelong quest to find the perfect slice of pizza.
Joe, his wife Stacy and son Anthony live in Vienna, Virginia. In his spare time, Joe loves to go off-roading and is active in the hockey community as both a coach and a player.

PLANADVISER Top Retirement Plan Advisers 2024 – To be listed, advisers had to have a minimum requirement of 50 plan clients or retirement plan assets under advisement of $400 million or more. After meeting the minimum plan or asset count, advisers are highlighted if they have what was designated as a special focus in any particular plan type. This means, 91% – 100% of clients that are 401(k) plan sponsors, or 10 or more 403(b), 457, nonqualified, DB, cash balance, SEP, SIMPLE or MEP/PEP plan clients. A total of 296 Retirement Plan Advisers submitted entries to be considered for this list of Top Advisers and from that list, 263 Retirement Plan Advisers were selected. Neither advisory firms nor their employees pay a fee in exchange for this award. The rating is not indicative of the adviser’s future performance.
2024 NAPA Top DC Advisor Team – Established in 2017, nominees had to be individual advisor team/offices with a defined contribution book of business. To be considered, firms had to submit responses to an application form, including information about their practices, notably their defined contribution (DC) assets under advisement. Teams must have at least $100 million in AUA to be included. The list is based exclusively on self-reported AUA. The list is created and conducted by the National Association of Plan Advisors, an affiliate organization of the American Retirement Association, a non-profit association. No fee is charged to participate. The rating is not indicative of the nominee’s future performance. Approximately 452 submissions participated in the ranking. 452 were named to the final ranking.
