Executive Vice President – Public Sector Retirement
Background
Richard Snyder joined HUB Investment Partners in September 2025. He is a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) and a Certified Public Manager (CPM®) with over 25 years of experience in the institutional retirement plan industry.
As an Executive Vice President, Richard leads the national public sector retirement practice. He works with employers, trustees, and committees on their fiduciary responsibilities as it relates to the investments, plan design, compliance, service and fee structures in the retirement plans. He focuses on industry “Best Practices” in order to continuously help improve plan health and participant outcomes for their 457(b), 401(a), 401(k), 403(b), defined benefit or post-retirement health saving plans. In addition, Richard provides fiduciary training to plan sponsors, trustees and committees, works independently in order to help provide prudent solutions, and documents the processes to help mitigate the risks of the plan fiduciaries.
Throughout Richard’s career, he has sat on all sides of the table which provides a different perspective and allows him to do his best work for his clients and their employees. He got his start in the business with the State of Florida, Bureau of Deferred Compensation. While there he earned his Certified Public Manager® designation at Florida State University. After leaving public service he worked for over 20 years as a Retirement Education Specialist, Relationship Manager, Managing Director, and National Sales Manager selling and retaining defined contribution and defined benefit plans for some of the leading plan providers in the industry. Prior to joining HUB, Richard served as a Senior Area Vice President at Gallagher, where he focused on partnering with large public entities across the country. In this role, he was responsible for driving Gallagher’s growth initiative by acquiring new institutional retirement plan clients and expanding the firm’s public-sector footprint.
Richard graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration and has been a long-standing member of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA), Florida Public Pension Trustees Association (FPPTA), National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO), International Public Management Association (IPMA-HR), National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), National Tax-Deferred Savings Association (NTSA), Florida Police Benevolent Association (FL-PBA), National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) organizations. He currently serves on the National Association of Governmental Defined Contribution Administrators Legislative Committee, Auto Enrollment Sub-Committee, Cyber Security Sub-Committee; and the National Association of Police Organizations Advisory Board.
