Background
Matthew Kulp is an Investment Advisor Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network and a Senior Advisor at Legacy Planning Partners. Matt has spent over two decades at Legacy helping business owners prepare for a future business transition. He focuses on working with privately held and family-owned companies to align their goals with long-term planning strategies that support succession, whether to the next generation or external buyers.
Matt plays a key role in Legacy’s Business Owner Advisory Team, which follows a personalized four-step process to guide clients through the complexities of business growth, continuity, and transition planning. His work is rooted in practical experience and a deep understanding of the challenges business owners face.
A graduate of Lafayette College with a degree in Economics and Business, Matt began his career at Legacy and credits CEO Jan Graybill as a formative mentor. He now serves as a mentor himself, both within the firm and through nonprofit groups like Men of Iron, which supports men in their personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Outside of work, Matt values time with his wife, Christina, and their four children—Ben, Ellie, Sarah, and Hannah. Together, they stay active with the kids’ school and sports schedules, and they enjoy traveling as a family and serving on mission trips.
