Scott Nelson, CPFA

Scott is a Retirement Plan Specialist with HUB Retirement and Wealth Management, holding a CPFA & NQPA designations(Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor, Non-Qualified Plan Advisor). Scott joined HUB in 2019 and has a background in Business and Finance. Scott holds securities and advisory registrations in multiple states.

Before joining HUB, Scott spent 7 years as a partner in two small business that he operated and managed. He sold his portion of the businesses to pursue his passion in finance and helping people. He enjoys being a part of the great community that he grew up in and being able to help the businesses that make it such a great place to live and work.

As a former business owner and operator himself, Scott uses his knowledge and experience working along side his clients to be a true partner to their business.

Scott graduated college with a Business Administration major and a minor in Mathematics from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. He was a part of the Men’s basketball team that reached the NAIA National Championship tournament each year Scott was there. As a senior and team captain Scott was awarded the Champion of Character Award from the NAIA at the National Tournament.

Scott lives in Gillette, Wyoming with his wife and three kids. Scott enjoys sports and is a volunteer for the youth basketball program. He also, enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, going to the lake and golfing.
