Howard Bienenfeld, CLU®, ChFC

Howard originally considered engineering as a career. But a series of fortunate events led him to the insurance industry and to Florida, where he met his partner for life and in business. Together, he and Carol Lasek paired up to successfully raise a family and build BLS Wealth Management from the ground up.

That foundation has since evolved into HUB Retirement and Wealth Management, as BLS joined HUB International, one of the largest insurance brokerage and financial services firms in the world. For Howard and Carol, the move to HUB wasn’t about changing what they do — it’s about giving clients more of it. Through HUB Retirement and Wealth Management, clients now have access to a much broader bench of in-house specialists in areas like retirement plan consulting and estate and tax planning, backed by the research, technology, and compliance infrastructure of a national platform. The result is the same personal, relationship-driven approach Howard and Carol have always offered, now paired with institutional-level resources that a smaller independent practice couldn’t provide on its own.

Howard believes the key to success is to help others achieve success, and the more you give, the more you receive in return. This abundance mentality applies not only to his clients but also to his employees. “My employees are an investment, not an expense.” The longevity of his client base, as well as of the HUB team that has grown out of BLS, is a testament to the authenticity of Howard’s personal philosophy and his staunch belief in the power of customer service.

Howard attributes his generosity to his dad, who was his role model. “He was extremely charitable and espoused the philosophy that you could never go broke by giving a generous tip.” Howard, in turn, has internalized this philosophy in his approach to life, along with the spiritual and life values he learned from his brother Jeff.

Originally from Teaneck, New Jersey, Howard lives with his wife and family in Hollywood, Florida. His passion is being with people, and he volunteers his free time as an active member of the Jewish community. He has served on numerous synagogue and school boards and happily spends as much time as possible with his children and grandchildren.
