Sean Bjork, AIF®, CIMA®, CPWA®
Senior Vice President
Background
Sean C. Bjork is a Senior Vice President with HUB Retirement and Wealth Management. He works with the finance and HR leaders at middle-market employers, helping them build plans that are designed with the goal of attracting and retaining talent and guiding their employees through the financial decisions that shape their lives.
Sean entered the retirement plan industry in 1998 on the recordkeeping side and founded Bjork Asset Management in 2007, joining HUB in 2026 with the same team, process and service philosophy. One conviction has guided the work throughout: fees and fund lineups fill most of the committee agenda because they are the easiest things to measure, while the decisions that determine whether someone retires with dignity and on their own terms are made by participants between meetings. Sean builds his practice around closing that gap.
He was named the PLANADVISER Retirement Plan Adviser of the Year in Participant Services (2025)* and has been recognized as a PLANADVISER Top Retirement Plan Adviser (2023 and 2024)* and a Financial Times 401 Top Retirement Advisor (2020)*. He holds the CIMA®, CPWA® and AIF® designations, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA from St. Lawrence University where he captained the NCAA Div I alpine ski racing team.
Beyond work and family, Sean serves his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, coaches youth alpine ski racing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and spends as much time as he can in the mountains with his family.
