Background
As a fiduciary consultant, Charley Kennedy brings more than three decades of experience and well-rounded perspective to HUB International.
Following the 2021 acquisition by HUB International of Fiducia Group, which Charley founded in 2008 and served as Managing Principal, he was appointed Senior Vice President and Practice Leader of the Retirement & Private Wealth division based at HUB’s regional headquarters in Pittsburgh.
Charley has serviced workplace retirement plans throughout his entire career, and now boosts HUB’s RPW capabilities with his leadership and expertise. He consults with clients on investments, fiduciary responsibility, vendor price negotiation, vendor searches and participant advocacy. His expertise protects HUB clients by minimizing the fiduciary liability inherent in employer-sponsored retirement programs while concurrently delivering successful retirement outcomes to plan participants.
Among his certifications and professional affiliations, Charley is a Certified 401(k) Professional (C(k)P®) in good standing with The Retirement Advisor University in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ (AIFA®) through the Center for Fiduciary Studies, a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) through the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) and a Certified Health Savings Advisor (CHSA®).
Charley is passionate about industry advancement. He is a founding board member for the Pittsburgh Retirement Professionals and serves on the Government Affairs Committee of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA).
Prior to founding Fiducia Group, Charley was the Chief Administrative Officer of Invesmart Advisors Inc., a national retirement advisory firm, and served as the Consulting Practice Leader for the firm’s Eastern region. In this role, he oversaw day-to-day client servicing and financial management operations.
Earlier in his career, Charley served as a Vice President at Federated Investors, a Pittsburgh-based mutual fund company, where he managed a 100+ person team that provided client service, retirement consulting and call-center support to the firm’s retirement partners and their customers.
Charley remains active in the community, serving as a board member of such organizations as the Beaver Meadows at St. Barnabas, the I Love You More Foundation and the No Child Fights Alone Foundation. He is also the treasurer and a small group leader for his church.
Charley received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Grove City College and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
