David Hauptman

David is a Managing Director with HUB International and lead’s HUB’s Executive Benefits practice. David is engaged in helping companies cost-effectively attract, retain and reward key talent with executive compensation and benefit strategies. David’s experience includes nonqualified plans and corporate owned life insurance (COLI) key-person programs. David is part of HUB’s Corporate Executive Benefit practice helping firms improve balance sheet performance in conjunction with offering programs that align top talent with ownership and shareholders.

David brings over 25 years of executive benefits experience to HUB, including a passion for educating clients fully about their executive benefit programs and funding strategies ensuring they are delivered to achieve core financial goals, with a high degree of communication, strong program engagement and robust plan participation.

Before joining HUB, David was a Senior Vice President at MullinTBG. He helped some of the country’s top public and private companies construct, implement and oversee their executive benefits programs. Prior to MullinTBG, David was an actuary with Milliman.

David is a frequent speaker and author on the subject of executive benefits BOLI and COLI, including presentations for the National Association of Professional Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Society of Actuaries, the New York Treasurers Group, Financial Executives International, Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), M Financial Group and the Benefits Management Forum and Expo. He has been featured in numerous publications including Business Week Online, Compensation and Benefits Management, Financial Executive and Journal of Compensation and Benefits.

David holds degrees in both Mathematics and Economics from Boston University. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and a Registered Representative of M Holdings Securities Inc.

David lives in Park City, Utah with his wife Carolyn and dogs Alvin T. Dog and Fiona. David enjoys mountain biking, hiking, refereeing soccer and skiing. Since 2010 David has provided canine therapy for a nursing home.
